Dates of Meetings
In an election year, (the next one is 2011) the meeting has to be held within 14 days of the election which is usually in May.
Housing and Highways Committee Meetings will be held as and when required.
Recreation meetings are normally held twice a year and the Finance & Policy meeting (at which proposals for budgets and precepts are prepared amongst other requirements) are held in November.
Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month except August and December, when there are no Council meetings. Planning Committee meetings are normally held following on after the Council meetings.
Planning meetings are also held in August and December
Meetings are held at 7.30pm, in the Pavilion, Recreation Ground, High Street, Handcross.
MARCH
This is when the Annual Meeting is held and all residents can attend and ask questions. The Council's Annual Reports are given and often there will be a speaker on an interesting subject.
MAY
This is the month when the meeting deals with the election of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Committees for the ensuing year
AUGUST
No Parish Council Meeting in August.
DECEMBER
No Parish Council Meeting in December
