Bus Passes
From 1.4.06 all holders of the Sussex County Card will be entitled to free travel after 9am Monday to Friday and anytime at weekends or bank holidays. Existing holders can continue to use their pass and benefit from the free travel. When renewed, the new pass will show "Free Travel".
New applicants to the scheme after that date will have the words "Free Travel" printed on their passes when issued.
Eligibility:
a: Resident in the Mid Sussex District
b: of State pensionsble age (men and women 60 years of age and over)
c: registered blind or partially sighted and unable to estimate accurately the size and speed of movement of traffic
d: suffering from a disability which seriously impairs ability to walk, or without the use of both arms
e: deaf or dumb
f: not permitted to drive on medical grounds or likely to be refused a driving licence on medical grounds
g: learning disabilty
h: companions of an eligible person who, are so severely disabled or handicapped as to require the assistance to travel by bus (must be accompanied by a Doctor's letter or completion of a form obtainable from the District Council)

Applications can be made to Handcross Hardware and Crafts Store, High Street, Handcross, between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday
