Race Relations
RACE RELATIONS The Council accepted the general duty placed on it under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act, 2000. However, the Council has always been an advocate of non discrimination on all aspects, be it race religion, creed, sex or disability. It will always encourage and promote racial equality between all people, no matter what racial group they belong to. Norman Rigglesworth Clerk to the Council
Race Relations Policy
The
Slaugham Parish Council adopted the Race Equality Policy under the Race
Relations (Amendment) Act, 2000. The Council has always and will
continue to have regard to promoting equality of opportunity to people
of any racial groups in all of its work for the Parish.
The Parish Council has never needed any act of parliament to encourage it to perform its work in a fair and understanding manner to all members of the community no matter what their race, creed, religion or otherwise.
Nor has it found that there has been any discrimination by any individual or company within the Parish.
