The Parish is split into two wards for District Council representation. Handcross and Pease Pottage are in the "Ardingly & Balcombe Ward". Slaugham and Warninglid are in the "Bolney" Ward. This means that the Parish is represented by two District Councillors.

Slaugham & Warninglid are represented by Francis Maude except for Colwood Lane, the MP here is Nick Herebert.
