SLAUGHAM PARISH COUNCIL
THE NEXT PUBLIC MEETING
TO LOOK AT THE PROPOSALS FOR A NEW VILLAGE HALL/CLUBHOUSE
WILL BE HELD AT THE CLUB HOUSE, FINCHES FIELD, PEASE POTTAGE
Monday 8th December, 2008 AT 7.30 PM
Come and meet representatives from the District Council, Parish Council and Football Club to look at the current proposals for the new facility and give us your views and suggestions. An updated draft plan of the proposed facility will be available for comment.
THIS WILL BE YOUR FACILITY, BE INVOLVED IN ITS CREATION
The meeting held on the 27th October, 2008 was fairly well attended and some proposals were put forward by local people - two items they felt should be considered were facilities for a playgroup for toddlers and a youth club. The meeting held on Monday 10th November, 2008, was again fairly well attended. A sample layout plan of a building that could fit within the constraints of the site was shown to those present. This gave more food for thought about layout, period of construction, what happens to existing facilities during any construction, need for equipment to furnish the building and costs involved. In addition, there would be the need to form a Committee to run the facility.
It is hoped that more people from the village will attend this next meeting which has been arranged to try to deal with just some of the issues raised on 10.11.08.
